If you find the pop-ups annoying, open the HP DriveGuard settings and simply turn off "Show notification when protection is active." The protection itself will still run. Better to have it and not need it

Let’s clear this up first: HP 3D DriveGuard is not an SSD-specific feature. If your laptop has a modern Solid-State Drive (SSD), this software is essentially useless (SSDs have no moving parts). However, if your HP laptop still runs a traditional mechanical Hard Disk Drive (HDD), this is a critical safety net.
