As Mila, gameplay is about creative scavenging—building makeshift weapons, traps, and even a small, controllable bipedal scout from junk. She infiltrates the Cleaners’ fortress, learning their true fear: the Archivist’s plan will erase individuality from war. Soldiers will become reincarnated puppets.
The Archivist, in a desperate final move, uploads his own consciousness into a half-completed Requiem Metal Gear. It’s not a walking tank—it’s a surrounded by a swirling cloud of scrap and data-ghosts, using magnetism and phantom images to attack. The battlefield is the Repack Yard’s central pit, littered with dead Metal Gear wreckage.
