The tridecapeptide α-MSH (1-13) is known to inhibit NF-κB. Here, we synthesized a longer fragment MSH(45–66) from the proopiomelanocortin precursor and tested its anti-inflammatory effect in murine macrophages.
We present high-resolution radio continuum images of the previously unclassified SNR MSH 45-XX, using Molonglo (843 MHz) and ATCA (5.5 GHz) data. X-ray spectroscopy from XMM-Newton reveals a thermal plasma with kT ~ 0.7 keV, suggesting an evolved remnant. msh 45
