Buy it, but watch a 2-minute YouTube video on how to use it specifically for a kitchen sink. It works, but only if you create a proper seal. Just be prepared for the gross splash-back. Keep bleach nearby.

Unlike a toilet plunger (flange), a standard flat-bottomed kitchen plunger does not seal well over a double-basin sink or a garbage disposal drain. You absolutely must plug the other side of the sink with a wet rag, or you’re just pushing air back and forth between the two bowls.
