Introduction As data centers, AI accelerators, and high-performance computing (HPC) systems demand ever-increasing memory bandwidth, the industry has transitioned from DDR4 to DDR5 (Double Data Rate 5) . While DDR5 brings native improvements in speed, power efficiency, and channel architecture, the physical layer (PHY) and interface logic required to operate at these extreme data rates pose significant signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) challenges.
For server OEMs, cloud providers, and silicon designers, Rambus DDR5 solutions enable , lower system power, and the ability to build high-capacity, high-rank memory subsystems.
