Three days ago, a crack had split the sky above Sootopolis. From it fell a creature of anti-light—a void that screamed. The Pokédex had no name for it. The air in the Jagged Pass tasted of sulfur and ash. May tightened the bandana around her forehead, wiping away sweat that had nothing to do with the desert sun below. Her Blaziken stood beside her, flames from its wrists crackling in the thin atmosphere.
