Originally released in 2014 for the Wii U, Rise of Lyric was meant to launch a new era (the "Boom" sub-franchise) featuring the blue blur, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. Instead, it became a cautionary tale of rushed development, glitchy physics, and hilarious technical failures.
