Pdvd: The Sticky S01

The Sticky serves up a surprisingly sweet and suspenseful heist dramedy with a distinctly Canadian flavor. On PDVD, the transfer is solid and the bonus features are decent, but the lack of 4K or HDR holds it back visually. The Show Itself Loosely inspired by the real-life "Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist" (yes, that happened), The Sticky follows Ruth Landry (Margo Martindale), a tough-as-nails maple syrup farmer pushed to the brink by a corrupt bureaucracy threatening her family's livelihood. Teaming up with a hapless security guard (Chris Diamantopoulos) and a hot-headed mobster's associate (Guillaume Cyr), she orchestrates a multi-million dollar heist of Quebec's strategic maple syrup reserve.
