In the world of modern plumbing, few inventions have sparked as much curiosity—and confusion—as the Saniflo toilet. Tucked into basements, attic conversions, loft apartments, and garage workshops, these compact macerating toilets promise a bathroom anywhere there’s water and electricity. But for every homeowner who installs one, the same uneasy question eventually surfaces: After I flush, where does it all go?
A powerful impeller pump, typically rated between 400 and 600 watts, forces the liquefied waste through a small-diameter pipe—usually ¾ inch to 1 inch (22–32mm), about the same size as a garden hose. This pipe can travel vertically up to 15–20 feet and horizontally up to 150 feet, depending on the model. In effect, a Saniflo toilet can pump waste from a basement up to a first-floor soil stack, or from a rear extension across the house to the nearest drain. where does the waste go from a saniflo toilet
The difference is entirely in the journey. A standard toilet relies on gravity and wide pipes. A Saniflo substitutes mechanical force and narrow pipes. It trades simplicity for flexibility—enabling bathrooms in places that would otherwise be impossible. In the world of modern plumbing, few inventions
Within one to two seconds of flushing, the waste and toilet paper enter the unit’s shredding chamber. Inside, a set of stainless steel blades spinning at 3,600 to 4,000 RPM—comparable to a garbage disposal—liquefies the solid waste into a fine slurry. Think of it less as “chopping” and more as “industrial blending.” Within seconds, what entered as solid emerges as a greywater-like fluid. Now comes the surprising part: that slurry doesn’t fall. It gets pushed up . A powerful impeller pump, typically rated between 400
While a 3d package will be able to give you identical results to this program, a 3d program is not designed to quickly and conveniently display this information in the way a painter needs.
If you were to use a 3d program for the same purpose, it would take you many times as long to set up the scene and would be difficult to get the same sort of consistently usable results every time.
