Unlike the cheap $15 eBay resetters, the V2 has a metal OBD head and a thick, shielded cable. The buttons have actual tactile click feedback. It feels like it will survive being dropped on a shop floor.

While not a full diagnostic tool, it reads Battery Voltage and Brake Pad Wear sensor status (Open/Closed). This saves you from pulling wheels just to check if a sensor is broken. The Bad (The Caveats) 1. It will not diagnose If you have an "Engine Misfire" or "Transmission Fault," this tool is useless. It has no code reading function for ECU/PCM/TCM. You still need a proper scanner (ISTA, Foxwell, Launch) for that.
The screen is a small blue LCD (like a Game Boy). You navigate by clicking left/right through chassis codes. If you don't know your chassis code (E90 vs F30), you will be guessing.
